How to keep 2 small kids entertained for days? Good question....we've made arts and crafts, baked, played in the rain, watched Doc McStuffins, and played a lot of dress up...and it's still raining....

18 months

What a difference a year makes... A year ago, I was getting ready to leave my 6 month old baby for the first time ever to go back to work.
At 18 months, you think you are 18. I have to remind you often that you aren't. You are a daredevil that makes me nervous and a comedian that keeps me laughing....

A Yellow Day

Ella's 4k teacher has a behavior chart and each day she sends what color they ended the day on home... Ella has had green everyday until now...
When I asked her why she was playing during circle time, she quickly told me it was because she was happy that I took her to school....
She has an answer for everything...

Hopefully, tomorrow will be a better day...

Party Time

We had Ella's 4th Birthday Party at Chill.... It was fun!!!! Ella wanted to have a "Princess Pony Party,"  A few months ago, I booked a petting zoo/farm over in Baldwin County. Long story, short, they called the day I put the invites in the mail and cancelled....Ella was sad but decided Chill would be ok...

First Day of Pre-K

Ella got to start Pre-K on her birthday! How lucky!!! She's always going to be the baby of her class... If she wasn't so smart, I'd hold her back another year... If it ever becomes an issue, I'll deal with it then... I really don't think it will though. :)
You can see Emory wasn't thrilled about being at school...
They've both adjusted beautifully now!

Year 4

Well my love, you are 4... Where the past 4 years went, I do not know....One thing I do know is that you are growing up way too fast...
You started Pre-K on Monday. You were ready! You have your backpack, lunchbox, school supplies, all ready to go! You got new shoes for your birthday and you've already let me know that you'll be wearing them to school everyday, because they are "cool." It seems like I was JUST in the hospital with you thinking I couldn't love anything more than this precious baby girl.... And now you are starting Pre-K???

Be still my heart....

Being a mom to you and your sister is most definitely the hardest thing I've ever done... It's also my favorite thing in the world....

One day I'll tell you all about how Daddy and I wanted a baby so terribly bad, and it didn't happen for a few years... and how that was a very sad time in my life... I'll also tell you that that was God's way of teaching me patience.

There are a million things I love about you. I adore you and you make my heart happy. Here are a few of my favorite things:

1. You sing songs and make up lyrics as you go....
2. Your sense of humor, you are a silly little girl...
3. Your heart... You have the sweetest spirit, and I hope you always will...when your sister was put in time out for the first time ever, you cried and cried and told me that it made you feel sad.
4. Your imagination... You've got a huge imagination... I'm pretty sure you are gifted.
5. Your sweet smile....
6. Your little voice.... You almost sound like you are from England.... You don't have a southern drawl at all... I don't get it, you are from the deep south...
7. Your storytelling ability....
My list goes on and on...

Your favorites:
Food-powdered donuts
Drink- Orange Juice
Show- Angelina Ballerina
Color- purple
What do you want to be when you grow up??? A babysitter... Really??? Only you...
Favorite thing to do??? Playing in your "office"--- Daddy made you a desk and all right next to him.... He's so amazing!

I know that before I know it, I'll be blogging about Year 5.... You'll be starting Kindergarten, and I'll be one sad mommy...

You are my little sidekick...
I can't wait to see what you become....
I love you Ella... To the moon and back!

Where did this sweet baby go???
