School Uniforms

Ella is almost a Kindergartener.... This makes me so sad... A few days ago, I went by my favorite consignment shop and picked up a few items for her school wardrobe... I am excited about not fussing with her about wearing tacky clothes.... She prefers to wear skirts and tank tops... In her mind, it's the tackier, the better... She will be going with me to E.R. Dickson. This makes it a little easier... She will right up the stairs from me... How stinking cute is she?

Pre-K Graduation

Ella had her Pre-K graduation at school... It made this mommy very sad... I thought I might get teary, but never did I expect a full fledged ugly cry... Of course, Jeje and Cam made fun of me. Ella asked me why I was crying and before I could answer her, she said,"It was the happy cry because you are so happy I am going to your school, right mommy?" Oh baby girl.... Never did I imagine that the beautiful baby I had almost 5 years ago would grow up so fast... I used to wonder what kind of kid you would be.... Now, I think about what kind of big kid you'll be... You are by far, the sweetest, most kind-spirited 4 year old I know.... So sweet, that kids already take advantage of it... Which makes me want to be the crazy mom... I love you to the moon and back Ella... 

A Yellow Day

Ella's 4k teacher has a behavior chart and each day she sends what color they ended the day on home... Ella has had green everyday until now...
When I asked her why she was playing during circle time, she quickly told me it was because she was happy that I took her to school....
She has an answer for everything...

Hopefully, tomorrow will be a better day...

Year 4

Well my love, you are 4... Where the past 4 years went, I do not know....One thing I do know is that you are growing up way too fast...
You started Pre-K on Monday. You were ready! You have your backpack, lunchbox, school supplies, all ready to go! You got new shoes for your birthday and you've already let me know that you'll be wearing them to school everyday, because they are "cool." It seems like I was JUST in the hospital with you thinking I couldn't love anything more than this precious baby girl.... And now you are starting Pre-K???

Be still my heart....

Being a mom to you and your sister is most definitely the hardest thing I've ever done... It's also my favorite thing in the world....

One day I'll tell you all about how Daddy and I wanted a baby so terribly bad, and it didn't happen for a few years... and how that was a very sad time in my life... I'll also tell you that that was God's way of teaching me patience.

There are a million things I love about you. I adore you and you make my heart happy. Here are a few of my favorite things:

1. You sing songs and make up lyrics as you go....
2. Your sense of humor, you are a silly little girl...
3. Your heart... You have the sweetest spirit, and I hope you always will...when your sister was put in time out for the first time ever, you cried and cried and told me that it made you feel sad.
4. Your imagination... You've got a huge imagination... I'm pretty sure you are gifted.
5. Your sweet smile....
6. Your little voice.... You almost sound like you are from England.... You don't have a southern drawl at all... I don't get it, you are from the deep south...
7. Your storytelling ability....
My list goes on and on...

Favorite thing to do??? Playing in your "office"--- Daddy made you a desk and all right next to him.... He's so amazing!

I know that before I know it, I'll be blogging about Year 5.... You'll be starting Kindergarten, and I'll be one sad mommy...

Where did this sweet baby go???

Swamp Ella....or Not

While in Destin, we went to Fudpucker's to eat and see the live alligator show....I asked Ella if she wanted to hold an alligator and get her picture made with it and she was ALL OVER THAT IDEA! I paid the guy and we walked in the little room to have our picture made with Mr. Alligator... I was uneasy and Ella must have picked up on it.... I asked the guy if the tape was securely around the snout... or whatever you call it, and he assured me it was....
Fast forward 10 minutes and this is the picture I paid ten bucks for....and it was worth it... the look on her face is so Ella... Miss Cautious....

Ella's ABC Book

So I am so proud of Ella's ABC book that I made for her birthday. It turned out so cute.... I hope I am able to keep it from her until her birthday!

My Bed Buddy

I really miss sleeping in the same bed with my husband.... He sleeps upstairs with Emory....Ella and I sleep in our bed (with Bayley and Lua)... It's the only way everyone sleeps all night and no one cries or wakes up unhappy... Some people turn their nose up at the thought of our sleeping arrangements, but hey, it works for us.... And I am a little sad that one of the projects on my to do list this summer is to get both girls in their own beds in their own rooms....
So I'm going to enjoy my beautiful, blonde headed, bed hogging, buddy now.... :)
