35 weeks

Well, if I don't write about the end of this pregnancy, I feel like I might block it out of my memory once sweetness arrives. After a trip to L&D a few weeks ago, I was put on modified bed rest for high blood pressure and swelling. I developed preclampsia later in my pregnancy with Ella, and my doctor feels like that's the road I'm heading down again. My blood pressure is still going up each week. At my appointment last week, my doctor decided to begin doing non stress tests twice weekly and an ultrasound each week. As of last week, Libby looked good! She weighs about 5 lbs. and is head down and ready! We will continue to watch her closely. The goal is to make it until February 24th, and if we do, I'll be induced. My dr. doesn't feel like I will make it, but I'm praying I do. I can't wait to meet this sweet girl.

This is one of the few pictures I have of me and the belly. RIDICULOUS!

Christmas

We had a very calm Christmas. We ended up packing up going to Jeje and Pop's. Luckily, Santa found us there. Uncle James and Aunt Holly weren't able to come since she was so pregnant with Baby Coleman. Uncle Sam was there.  I can't believe there will 2 new McBride babies next year! I really slacked with photo ops during the holidays. I refuse to have a picture of me made. I am boycotting pictures until after Libby's arrival.

First Hospital Stay

The Crakers had a first during the month of November. Poor Emmecat was admitted to the hospital and we had to stay for a dreadful TWO nights. To make things worse, Cameron was in California and Ella woke up the morning after she admitted with a high fever. Thank goodness Jeje came to the rescue and was here. She took her to the Doctor to find out that Ella had strep throat. Ella had to go to Aliceville and we stayed in the hospital another night. It was by far, the most stressful time I have had as a parent in my 5 1/2 years of parenting. Emory had a bad infection that wasn't caught when it should have been. After lots of fluids and antibiotics, she was back to her spunky self. As much as I would like to put this time out of my memory, one day, I know she will want to know about her overnight visit in the hospital.

Poor little love....
Jeje came to the rescue, thank goodness!

Thanksgiving 2013

We had a lovely little time at the cabin for Thanksgiving. All the McBrides were together. This was the last time we will all be together before the new babies come. I'm pretty excited about the holidays next year. I can't wait for the sweet baby cousins to be here!
