It's Partytime
We had Ella's first birthday party at the Watermelon Patch here in Mobile. The kiddos had a great time! Ella had been fighting the crud all week. I took her to the Dr. on Friday before her party and she said she was fine as long as she didnt have a fever.....well, Saturday night after the party she started running a fever again and I took her in Sunday and what do you know? She had an ear infection. She was a good sport though! Here are a few pictures from her big day!

Our Birthday Girl
The itty bitty cake
Singing to the Birthday Girl
Singing to the Birthday Girl
This is kinda good
This is fun
Our sweet girl turned one this week! We can hardly believe how fast her first year went by. It makes us sad! We aren't having her birthday party until next weekend but we like to celebrate as long as we can. On her birthday we had her favorite meal, chicken spaghetti and green beans and a cake for the Birthday Girl. She loved it! She wasn't so sure about it at first but decided very quickly that is was good stuff! After I dropped her off at Daycare today I was thinking about the little person that Ella has turned into:
- She might be the happiest and smiliest baby ever.
- She laughs at herself constantly.
- She has the best disposition.
- She really believes that we understand the constant babbling she does.
- She has her Daddy, Pops, and Uncles wrapped so tightly around her finger it's sad.
- She almost has enough hair up top to hold a bow.
- She has the cutest curls ever!
- This list could go on and on but these are the things I love about Ella Craker.....
Daycare has been going great so far. She loves it and loves her teacher. I have to say that I was a little jealous yesterday morning when she reached out for her teacher when we walked in her room. Tonight however she is running a fever....she doesn't seem fussy but like I said, she is running a fever....I gave her some Motrin to try to bring it down and it came down some. I am praying that when I go check her in a bit she feels cooler and all this will pass over the weekend..... I guess we will see!

Finally Home!
I am ready!
Pops and Ella waiting!
Pops and Ella waiting!
Ella took her first ride on an airplane last week! She did great and is quite the little traveler! She entertained everyone around us the whole time. Ella loves an audience. I have no idea where she gets it from! We went to North Carolina to see Uncle James come home. It was a great trip to say the least. She and James had an instant bond when she was younger and they definitely picked up right where they left off! She loves her Uncle James, that is for sure! She also started daycare this week. I was really dreading it because a good friend of mine kept her last year at her house. We were a little spoiled! She has done great so far. Her teacher told me that she hasn't whined at all. Each afternoon when I go in to pick her up her face lights up and you would think she hadn't seen me in years! It's priceless and I can hardly wait to see her each afternoon! Leaving her to go back to work this time was much harder than after maternity leave. She also has a birthday this week. I can't believe it has been a year since Ella was born and our lives changed so fast! She makes parenting easy! She is such a blessing....we just can't imagine life without her now! So that is a recap of our week! It has been busy, that is for sure! I will be posting birthday pics soon!
